We are pleased to announce that we now have in place an Advisory Council comprised of community and business leaders who oversee the Development Office on behalf of community donors. It is important to inform our community that 100% of the donations given to the Capital Campaign go to the proposed project. None of it is used for overhead or administrative costs.

Our residents consider a medical facility as vital. CMHS has greatly enhanced its services over the years especially with the Heart Center. As a 25 year resident and as the Development Director for the Villages of Citrus Hills, I have served on many community boards. I am honored to serve on this one, since the strength of the Hospital is so important.




Charles Davis
C.E. Davis Funeral Home

Charles E. Davis, Owner of Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory of Inverness, 30 year resident of the community, serves on several professional boards, locally and state wide, for non-profit service and business organizations.




Gene Davis
Speed Gel, Inc.

Raised in Inverness, Gene watched as the original CMH building was constructed. For the past 25 plus years, he has been involved in virtually all phases of real estate sales, development and construction in Citrus County. During the years he has always praised the Hospital's high standards of care and quality physicians to the people contemplating a move here. "We are very fortunate to have an asset such as Citrus Memorial to help insure our quality of life here and it is a privilege to be serving as an Advisory Council member."




Sheriff Jeff Dawsy
Citrus County Sheriff

I am interested in serving on the Advisory Board of the Citrus Memorial Health System because Citrus Memorial has always been a predominant leader in the health care industry and I want to continue to be a part of this growing system.




Dr. Ed Dodge
Retired Physician

Dr. Ed Dodge came to Citrus County in 1971 as Director of the Citrus-Levy County Health Department. In 1975, he joined the Osterhout-Jenkins, PA, as a family physician and served on the medical staff of Citrus Memorial Hospital until he retired in 1996.




Susan Gill
Supervisor of Elections

Susan Gill has held the office of Supervisor of Elections for Citrus County since 1997. She co-chaired the Citrus Memorial Ball in 2006 and 2007 and was an attendee of Class I of the Citrus Memorial Health College Intern Program.




Greg Hagar
The Hagar Group

Greg B. Hagar is Senior Vice President of the Hagar Group. His grandfather, George H. Brannen, Sr., was one of the founders of the Citrus Memorial Hospital fifty years ago. Greg was born at Citrus Memorial and is a life-long resident of Citrus County.




Rocky Hensley
SunTrust Bank

Rocky Hensley, Vice President of SunTrust Bank is a life long resident of Citrus County and has served as the Inaugural Chairman of the Advisory Council. Rocky says, "REMEMBER ... when you have your health you have everything! Citrus Memorial Health System cares about your health and can provide the very best in health care services."




Claire Jenkins
Community Member

Claire Jenkins, whose husband Dr. Randall Jenkins was a founding physician for Citrus Memorial Hospital, was born in Inverness and has three children. Because of her husband's deep dedication to Citrus Memorial, she wanted to serve on the Foundation's Advisory Council in his memory.




Gerry Jones
The Travel Club

Gerry is an eight-year resident of Citrus County and owner of The Travel Club of Citrus County. She has a real interest in health issues and preventative medicine and feels she can be of service to the community as a member of the Foundation's Advisory Council.




Marilyn C. Jordan

Marilyn is a 6th generation Floridian, and grew up in Bushnell, Florida. She graduated from Jones College in Orlando. Marilyn's career started and ended with the City of Inverness. She retired after 38 years there, serving as City Clerk for 16 years. Marilyn and Albert have been married for 45 years, have two sons and two grandchildren. Her love for CMH began with the birth of her children there. In 1994, Governor Chiles appointed her to the Citrus Memorial Hospital Board. Through her efforts with the Advisory Council she looks forward to seeing the Family Care Health & Education Center come to fruition.




Dr. Michael LaMarche
Citrus Medical Assoc.

Dr. LaMarche has been on staff at Citrus Memorial Hospital since 1991 and is currently serving as the Chief of Medicine.




Paul Mellini
Nature Coast Bank

Paul is President of Nature Coast Bank. He is pleased to join the Advisory Council for Citrus Memorial and brings with him experience from having served on All Children's Hospital board. Paul is an advocate of community health care and has a special interest for children and elderly.




MaryBeth Nayfield
Citrus County Health Department

MaryBeth graduated from the University of Florida with a bachelor's and master's degree in nursing and is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner by training. She has lived in Citrus County for the past 25 years and is committed to the health of Citrus County citizens. "I believe that my participation on the Advisory Council benefits those I serve."




Cal Ringquist
Affiliated Health Insurers of Florida, Inc.

Cal is well known throughout the county and has served on several boards and councils during his 28 years in Citrus County. He specializes in providing health insurance for small to medium-sized businesses. "I am glad to offer any assistance to help The Foundation support and enhance the services and stability of our state-of-the-art community hospital."




Paul Weigel
Citrus Cardiology

Paul Weigel, a graduate of the Wharton School of Business, is the C.E.O. for Citrus Cardiology Consultants, P.A., located in Inverness, Lady Lake and Leesburg. He has served as Co-Chair of the Heart Ball and is a graduate of the CMHS Intern Program and of Leadership Citrus. "When Americans are evaluating retirement locations, they look at climate, cost of living and access to quality healthcare. In Citrus County, we get high marks for all three, thanks to the Citrus Memorial Health System."




Ellen Zane
Merrill Lynch

Ellen Zane is the current Vice Chairman of the Advisory Council. She is a certified financial planner and works at Merrill Lynch in Crystal River as a financial advisor and manager. She is very active in the community and also co-chairs the Citrus Memorial Ball. She serves on the Advisory Council because she likes to "give back" to the community.
