We are pleased to announce that we now have in place an Advisory Council comprised of community and business leaders who oversee the Development Office on behalf of community donors. It is important to inform our community that 100% of the donations given to the Capital Campaign go to the proposed project. None of it is used for overhead or administrative costs.

Mike is the owner of the Mike Bays State Farm Insurance Agency in Beverly Hills, and Health & Wellcare Services of FL, with Dr. John Degraw in Crystal River. He states, "The importance of our community cannot be OVER-STATED and I am honored to serve and be part of the Advisory Board."

Bob Collins currently serves as Chairman for the Advisory Council. "Citrus Memorial has a huge economic impact upon this community. I feel honored to serve in this capacity for such a well-respected institution; it is my way of giving back for taking such good care of my family."

Being a resident in Citus County for over 25 years, I have learned that our residents consider a medical facility as vital. CMHS has greatly enhanced its services over the years especially with the Heart Center. As a 25 year resident and as Public Affairs Director for the Citrus County Property Appraiser's Office, I have served on many community boards. I am honored to serve on this one, since the strength of the Hospital is so important.

Gene Davis

Raised in Inverness, Gene watched as the original CMH building was constructed. For over 25 years, he has been involved in virtually all phases of real estate sales, development and construction in Citrus County. During the years he has always praised the Hospital's high standards of care and quality physicians to the people contemplating a move here. "We are very fortunate to have an asset such as Citrus Memorial to help ensure our quality of life here and it is a privilege to be serving as an Advisory Council member."

Shawn Fitzpatrick

Shawn Fitzpatrick, is a lifelong resident of Citrus County who practices law at Fitzpatrick & Fitzpatrick, P.A., one of the County's oldest law firms. Shawn was born at Citrus Memorial Hospital and through the years has watched the hospital grow to become a highly rated healthcare facility serving the residents of Citrus County.




Susan Gill
Supervisor of Elections

Susan Gill has held the office of Supervisor of Elections for Citrus County since 1997. She is the co-chairperson of the Citrus Memorial Ball and was an attendee of the first ever Class of the Intern Program offered by Citrus Memorial Health College.




Dr. Parmanand Gurnani

My wife and I have lived and practiced medicine in Citrus County for 15 years and understand the vital role CMHS plays in the county. It is my goal to ensure CMHS be the leader in providing quality healthcare in the community. As an advisory council member, I hope to be a liaison between the hospital and the community to bring about positive change.




Greg Hagar
The Hagar Group

Greg B. Hagar is Senior Vice President of the Hagar Group. His grandfather, George H. Brannen, Sr., was one of the founders of the Citrus Memorial Hospital over fifty years ago. Greg was born at Citrus Memorial and is a life-long resident of Citrus County.




Claire Jenkins
Community Member

Claire Jenkins, whose husband Dr. Randall Jenkins was a founding physician for Citrus Memorial Hospital, was born in Inverness and has three children. Because of her husband's deep dedication to Citrus Memorial, she wanted to serve on the Foundation's Advisory Council in his memory.




Gerry Jones
The Travel Club

Gerry has been a resident of Citrus County for over ten years and is the owner of The Travel Club of Citrus County. She has a real interest in health issues and preventative medicine and feels she can be of service to the community as a member of the Foundation's Advisory Council.




Marilyn C. Jordan

Marilyn is a 6th generation Floridian, and grew up in Bushnell, Florida. She graduated from Jones College in Orlando. Marilyn's career started and ended with the City of Inverness. She retired after 38 years there, serving as City Clerk for 16 years. Marilyn and Albert have been married over 45 years, have two sons and two grandchildren. Her love for CMH began with the birth of her children there. In 1994, Governor Chiles appointed her to the Citrus Memorial Hospital Board. Through her efforts with the Advisory Council she looks forward to seeing the Family Care Health & Education Center come to fruition.




Dr. Michael LaMarche

Dr. LaMarche has been on the medical staff of Citrus Memorial Hospital since 1991. He served as Chief of Medicine, 2004-2008. He currently works at the Citrus Memorial Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center as well as participating in various other duties within the system.

Rob joined Williams, McCranie, Wardlow and Cash, PA, and became a CPA in 1994. The firm has been practicing tax, audit and accounting in Citrus County since 1976. Formerly, he was an administrator in the health care industry. He has served on several community and professional boards, past and present, locally and state-wide. "With my experience and background I would like to be able to help ensure the community maintains a high quality of health care."

Ed is a local CPA who is very involved in his community serving on several boards and committees. As a CPA he wishes to share his expertise and strengths in finance and taxation while sharing his passion for integrity.

President/CEO of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce

Josh is an owner of a small business with years of service in Citrus County. As a former County Commissioner and as the current President/CEO of the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce, he has served on numerous boards and communities dealing with quality of life issues. Josh feels it is important to have a quality health care facility in Citrus County and is pleased to serve CMHS in an advisory capacity for the Foundation. Josh resides in Citrus Hills with his four daughters.

Ellen Zane is the current Vice Chairperson of the Advisory Council. She is a certified financial planner and is a First Vice President, Financial Advisor, at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Crystal River. She is very active in the community and also co-chairs the Citrus Memorial Ball. She serves on the Advisory Council because she likes to "give back" to the community.
