This fund-raising office of the Citrus Memorial Health System was created in 2004, thus giving the organization a charitable arm to secure financial contributions to perpetuate the mission of Citrus Memorial. All charitable gifts to this Foundation are tax deductible under Section 501(C)3 to the extent provided by law.

Did you know community-owned hospitals provide 95 percent of all vital, but often unprofitable, health services in any community? As Citrus County's only community-owned hospital, Citrus Memorial reinvests all available revenues into equipment, facilities and programs. Citrus Memorial is governed by a local board comprised of your neighbors who serve without compensation.
The Foundation Development Office reports to a separate Advisory Council made up of local interested citizens. Unlike most other charities, nothing is taken from donations made to the Citrus Memorial Foundation to pay for overhead or administrative costs. 100% of all gifts made to the Foundation are utilized for those projects designated by the donor.

Healthcare facilities across the nation face numerous healthcare challenges, one of which is a rising population with limited or without health insurance.
Only through financial investments from committed donors can our healthcare system continue to provide excellent, leading-edge medical care in a warm and inviting environment.
In addition to many and varied necessary projects available, currently we are in the process of raising $1.5 to $2 million in charitable contributions toward the capital campaign to build the Family Care Health & Education Center as pictured above. Commemorative naming opportunities exist for this project.
