Citrus Memorial Foundation Hosts Touchdown Event
Encourages Community to Donate to Capital Campaign
The Foundation for Citrus Memorial recently held a Touchdown Event with a gathering of founders, friends and donors in support of the Capital Campaign for the planned Family Care Health & Education Center in Lecanto. The campaign is only $200,000 from the goal of $1.5 million with a plan for completion in 2009. This historic capital campaign is a first-ever for Citrus Memorial, a 501(C)3 charitable organization.
The new center will be built at the Allen Ridge Medical Park on CR 491 in Lecanto and, as its name implies, will focus on health care education and family medical services.
The football themed, high energy event was sponsored by Mercantile Bank and featured guest motivational speaker Willie Mitchell, former professional football player with the Kansas City Chiefs. Mr. Mitchell's appearance was provided through collaboration with the Drug Coalition of Citrus County.
Anyone interested in finding out more about participating in the capital campaign for a touchdown in 2009 is encouraged to visit CitrusMemorialHealth.com or contact Chris Pool at 344-6560.
