CITRUS MEMORIAL AUXILIARY PRESIDENT GETS LETTERMEN SERENADE FOR 75TH BIRTHDAY

"I couldn't believe it," gushed Iva Puckett, who got a special serenade by The Lettermen backstage between shows at their April 2 appearance at the Curtis Peterson Auditorium in Lecanto. "Who ever had a birthday present like that," she said.

Puckett, who is president of the Citrus Memorial Health System Auxiliary, was celebrating her 75th birthday. When The Lettermen got wind of it, they gathered around to sing to her, along with their special guest Jay Traynor of The Americans.

"They all kissed me, too, after the song," she said "I'll never wash my cheek again!"

The Lettermen and Jay Traynor of The Americans were in town for Citrus Memorial's 2nd Annual Salute to Our Community to benefit the Citrus Memorial Health Foundation's capital campaign and the planned Family Care Health and Education Center.
