2007 - It was a very good year!
3rd Annual "Salute to Our Community" Concert
To celebrate the hospital's 50th anniversay, a 50's and 60's Rock & Roll theme concert was held at the Curtis Peterson Auditorium at Lecanto High School on Sunday, March 11, 2007, with an afternoon and evening performance. The concert featured many stars of that era, headlined by Sonny Turner, lead singer of The Platters (The Great Pretender; Only You, and more). Also appearing on stage were Jay Seigel and The Tokens (The Lion Sleeps Tonight and more), Shirley Alston Reeves, former lead singer for The Shirelles (Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow? Soldier Boy and more) and one of the country's best rock and roll house bands, Rocky & The Rollers, who have played and toured with some of the great legends of Rock & Roll (Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Drifters and others).

The 2nd Annual Citrus Memorial Ball
On Saturday, May 19, 2007, a spectacular dance and dinner event brought out the best in Citrus County people as well as a chance to show off their gowns, tuxedos, and smiles. Although the night was full of wonderful fellowship, it was the Hospital's Foundation which benefitted by the funds that were raised through donations, ticket sales and sponsorships. In turn, it is the people of Citrus County who will benefit most due to the Hospital's investment in providing better facilities and equipment to serve the healthcare needs of the community. The event was held at the Citrus Hills Golf & Country Club. We thank the committee people and volunteers who put so much into this event and also to the many sponsors, especially Embarq, for their support of this fundraising effort.
